Lighthouse Tours

Tours are offered by the East Harbor Naturalist and volunteers. There is a $2 fee for adults and children ages 6 and up. Children under age 6 are free.

Historical Building and Lighthouse Tours

The park is open year round.  The on-site Keeper’s House Museum is open and tower tours are conducted in the afternoons Monday through Friday from the day after Memorial Day until the Friday before Labor Day, Sunday evenings in June, July, and August, as well as the second Saturday of the month from June to October. 

There is a $2.00 tour charge to climb the tower for adults and children age 6 or older. Children under the age of 6 are no charge. The last tour of the day is scheduled for 15 minutes prior to close. The lighthouse tower tours may be cancelled during times of high wind, heavy storms, and lightning.  Nearby Lightkeepers House:

The historic stone home of the first lighthouse keeper, Benejah Wolcott, has been preserved as the "Keeper's House" and is open to the public on 2nd Saturdays, June-September. Tours are also offered by appointment. Call the Ottawa County Visitors' Bureau at 419-734-4386 for information.


The grounds surrounding Marblehead Lighthouse offer excellent picnicking. Tables are supported by concrete pads. Portable restrooms are available.
